With yesterday being Groundhog Day, we have learned from the rodent in Pennsylvania that there will be six more weeks of winter. (Unless you live in Ohio, where Buckeye Chuck said we’ll have an early spring… Why are there two groundhogs for this? Don’t ask me.)
If you want that time to fly by, you should download my books to occupy yourself in the rest of the winter days.
We are finally picking up some traction here at Silver Gecko. The edits to THE ECHOES OF THE JEKYLL HOUSE are complete, and it’s off to the proofreaders. We should have the full product line (Kindle, paperback, and audiobook versions) available this summer.
Another advancement in projects is publishing separate novelettes as audiobooks, similar to the Christmas horror story NOT EVEN A MOUSE. The next up to be published is BEDRIDDEN which, until now, was only available as a download exclusive on the Fat Guys at the Movies site and collected in 13 MORE TURNS.
We are still in preproduction for the audiobook of MOVIE TRUTH: REAL ANSWERS TO REEL QUESTIONS. It’s already available on Kindle with an upcoming paperback . More updates on that to come.
Enjoy the cool weather for another six weeks, and then you can start complaining about the heat instead.
*99 Shots are complete stories, new each week, totaling 99 words or less.
IN THE TUBE by Kevin Carr
He was never claustrophobic, so when the MRI machine swallowed him head-first, he remained calm.
It was a tight fit, and he was not a small man. He had to fold his arms over his chest so his shoulders fit inside, sliding against the cold plastic.
He closed his eyes so he would not see the inside of the tube an inch from his face.
Then the noises started.
Not the machine’s noise.
The skittering sound from the far side of the room.
And then the feeling of something climbing on his legs.
And the sound of eating.
THE END
