So here we are in the middle of the 2025 reboot. The big question for everyone is whether this reboot will be clean, like a top-of-the-line Mac… or a clunky roll-out like Windows 98. (And we all hope to god it’s not like rebooting into Windows ME or Windows Vista, because we might as well give up if that’s the case.)

I didn’t make any formal resolutions this year (aside from clearing the clutter from my iPhone photo library), but I did resolve to streamline my life. And a lot of that effort will be seen here.

My BlockHeadZ partner in crime Benjamin Géza and I are already looking ahead to some fun things with the first anniversary coming at the end of the summer. We will be branching out from the standard once-a-week cartoon.

Similarly, I am organizing my projects for 2025 with new stories and books, as well as expanding my library of audiobooks.

I took a break over the holidays to get my head in the right space. This included gallivanting about on a boat in the Bahamas for a Christmas cruise. As you might expect, I was inspired for a new story from that trip. It’s a longer piece, so it will be some time before you see it, but when you see the setting of a cruise ship, you’ll know where the inspiration came from.

Other projects coming down the line include the publication of THE ECHOES IN THE JEKYLL HOUSE as well as the audiobook of my non-fiction book MOVIE TRUTH: REAL ANSWERS TO REEL QUESTIONS.

Other writing projects I have teased recently include the technothriller THEY HISS!, the choose-your-own-adventure story THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING NERD, and another installment in the stories from Revolution, Ohio: THE BARLOW TAPES.

The hands were so soft, they had to be friendly. They came from behind, covering her eyes, and a breathy, friendly voice whispered, “Guess who.”

She made a guess. Then another. And then another.

The soft, warm skin of the fingers against her cheeks was strangely comforting. Even when they seemed to press harder and harder into her flesh, she didn’t turn around.

She decided to keep playing along, and she continued guessing, even when her cheeks started to burn.

But by the time she realized what It was doing, she was already being digested.
