And here we are in March. There’s an old saying that March “comes in like a lion and out like a lamb.” However, living in Ohio, I’ve found the reverse to be true… so I am creating my new saying. March “comes in like a lemur” because it looks familiar but you should be cautious. It might seem pleasant at first, but if you don’t watch out, you might find yourself on the wrong end of a poo-flinging battle.

Last week, I celebrated the release of my audiobook for BEDRIDDEN, available on Audible and in the Amazon store. You can also listen to it on your home device by saying, “Alexa, play BEDRIDDEN by Kevin Carr.” If you subscribe to Amazon Music Unlimited, you can listen to it FREE as one of your audiobooks for the month.

Next, we have the pending release of my audiobook for the novelette NOT THE END, which is already available as a stand-alone Kindle ebook and as part of the 13 MORE TURNS horror anthology. The remastering is done, and the files are submitted. Look for that audiobook to be available in the next 7 to 10 days.

More audiobooks are coming, but I haven’t forgotten about the novel ECHOES OF THE JEKYLL HOUSE, which is in the editing stages. Look for the online version, the paperback, and the audiobook for that hitting shelves later this year.

And A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE BLOCKHEADZ, which chronicles the first year of BlockHeadZ comics published here is finally taking off its training wheels.

WHO’LL STOP THE REIGN by Kevin Carr

Mr. Carson stood in front of the blackboard, when a student spoke up: “I don’t appreciate you making us feel bad because our ancestors were white.”

Mr. Carson sighed. “It’s not about color. It’s about culture clash. Whether it’s the Vikings, the Conquistadors, or the American settlers, whenever a more advanced culture invades, the lesser one loses.”

There was a sudden roar outside. The students ran to the window, seeing what looked like ships cutting through the atmosphere.

Mr. Carson shook his head and sat down. “That’s all for today,” he said, meaning it in every sense possible.
