HIS FIRST WISH by Kevin Carr
Dexter had found the oil lamp in a curio shop while on vacation. He rubbed the side and was stunned when the Djinn appeared.
The Djinn promised to grant him three wishes. Dexter knew there could be trouble, but this was an irresistible opportunity.
So rather than indulgence, he chose entertainment.
“I wish that people’s pants would actually go on fire when they tell a lie,” he said.
The Djinn grinned mischievously and waved his hand.
“Done,” the Djinn replied.
Dexter smiled and walked out of the room, saying, “Time to watch some political pundits on the news!”
