I see a small child, walking alone. She kicks pebbles down the sidewalk, not realizing the danger she is in.

It’s an empty street, but a nice neighborhood, one you’d think was safe. But all of us who live here know it’s not. Not for her.

I don’t know where she came from or who she is visiting, and I don’t warn her. I must let her continue. She’s approaching the hole where it lives. But I can’t save her. Because for the safety of the neighborhood, the clown must eat.
