Now that it’s April, it’s time for the rains to come. While you stay at home, longingly looking into the showers from the dreary clouds, don’t forget to get some of my books to read to get you to the sunnier days ahead.
ECHOES IN THE JEKYLL HOUSE is chugging along well through editorial. There is still a lot of work to do on it before it publishes this summer, as we will be releasing it on all platforms at the same time: Kindle, paperback, and audiobook.
In the mean time, we are catching up on all the other published works to provide paperbacks and audiobooks when appropriate.
Now, we just have to find time to do the taxes. Whew!
Don’t forget to check out my current list of audiobooks:
My zombie novelette NOT THE END is available from Audible and on Kindle. THE ORGAN GRINDER is on Kindle and audiobook, as well as my other novelettes FEEDING GROUNDS (on Kindle and audiobook) and BEDRIDDEN (on Kindle and audiobook).
Of course, all of my books are available through my Author’s Page on Amazon.
*99 Shots are complete stories, new each week, totaling 99 words or less.
Not a Rattlin’ Bog by Kevin Carr
“It’s a beautiful, thriving neighborhood,” the Realtor said. “Great homes, excellent schools.”
But things just didn’t add up for Sam.
“The price is sub-market…” he said, “by a mile.”
“There is one catch,” the Realtor said, pointing to a dark stand of trees. “The bog.”
“Why haven’t you developed that?” Sam asked.
“We’ve tried,” the Realtor said. “It won’t let us. So we just let the bog be.”
Then he whispered, “Just stay away from it. Wild animals… squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits. They’ve learned.”
The Realtor leaned close. “But pets. And kids,” he said grimly. “They don’t always obey.”
